Blog post 5 Topic: Changes to my study programme

 

I am in the fourth year of Film and tv major, and I am not so sure about the things that I would change of the study program.  But I realized that the study program has a lot of filler. Some subjects can easily remove, and the major could last fewer years and not five. I think that the subjects that we have in common with journalism are superfluos, for example —like “Industrias culturales”, “Funcionalismo y Comunicación”, “Discurso y significación”; I say this even though I was doing well in those subjects.

I also think that the major in this university It is not so focused on practice but on theory. It may be fine, but I feel that I have a void on a practical level; although maybe it is because I had two years online classes jajaja.

One of the things that I would change of the faculty is the infrastructure, because in my opinion it is very ugly and small, with tight classrooms and dirty bathrooms.

Another thing to change is the cinema equipments, because there are few of them and many times we are left without equipment, which means not being able to record or delaying filming. And to finish I also want to stress that the few film equipment that exists are often in poor condition because of the constant use.

But at least the teachers in this university in general are very good 😉
