Post 3: My favorite piece of technology

I have always had a cell phone since I was ten years old. So I think that the cell phone is my favorite technology, although I try to not occupy it too much. Generally, I use it to watch Youtube, Facebook, Instagram or check the email. Also, it helps me with the videos that I have to make for the university, because I don’t have a camera. So, in that way, it is very important, if I want to get good grades. I don’t recommend using it too much because it’s very addictive and you can waste a lot of time on useless things.

 

I always break my cell phone: they drop, get wet, or suddenly they don’t turn on. No cell phone has lasted more than two years. It’s terrible. The last cell phone that I broke was because I tried to make a video.

Blog post 1: A country you would like to visit

I would like to visit Spain, for many reasons. One of the reasons is because Spain contains a lot of history and the betters writers of all time.  Spain is the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, Unamuno, Pio Baroja, Quevedo, Lope de Vega, Calderón de la Barca, Miguel Hernández, García Lorca, Vicente Aleixandre, and many more.  But I don't know much about geography of the country, only that in a place of La Mancha, whose name I don’t want to remember, lived Don Quijote jaja. And I also know that Hemignway loved to travel there because the bullfights, and he also fought in the Civil War of Spain.  I just remember that the name of Spain proceeds of lands of the rabbits, because in the old times the rabbits infested the whole place.   If I travel to España I would like to visit the house of Miguel de Cervantes, and honestly I would like to study or work there: I wouldn't have the language problem.

I was born in the regional hospital of Antofagasta, Chile, in 2001. At elementary school, I studied at Colegio nº23 Presbiteriano. Then, I complete the high school at school Lidia Moreno. In that time, I started learning to play guitar.  In 2019 I joined to study sound engineering career at Universidad de Chile. But I dropped out because I didn’t like math. Now I’m studying Cine and Tv career at Universidad de Chile.   I went to live in Santiago in 2021. I live in apartment with my mother, 40 years old, and my sister, 5 years old, in the commune of Providencia.  Before my hobby was music. I liked to play piano and guitar. But now my hobby is reading books. My favorite book is The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I also like to read stories and my favorite writer is Cortazar.  My favorite book My favorite writer.

Blog post 5 Topic: Changes to my study programme

  I am in the fourth year of Film and tv major, and I am not so sure about the things that I would change of the study program.   But I realized that the study program has a lot of filler. Some subjects can easily remove, and the major could last fewer years and not five. I think that the subjects that we have in common with journalism are superfluos, for example —like “Industrias culturales”, “Funcionalismo y Comunicación”, “Discurso y significación”; I say this even though I was doing well in those subjects. I also think that the major in this university It is not so focused on practice but on theory. It may be fine, but I feel that I have a void on a practical level; although maybe it is because I had two years online classes jajaja. One of the things that I would change of the faculty is the infrastructure, because in my opinion it is very ugly and small, with tight classrooms and dirty bathrooms.
